We’re looking for a Bakery Operations Manager to lead our talented Production Bakery Team and bring our in-house baked goods to life across all our locations. This is more than a management role—it’s a chance to shape the future of our bakery program, inspire a passionate team, and deliver exceptional quality to our community every single day. What You’ll Do: Lead the Dough Charge : Oversee all bakery operations, from mixing bowls to delivery bins. Inspire and Empower : Hire, train, and mentor a team of bakers, fostering a positive, upbeat, and collaborative kitchen culture. Plan Like a Pro : Design seasonal and holiday menus, manage production schedules, and keep inventory in check. Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with our Food Services Director, HR, and store managers to ensure smooth operations and happy customers. Keep It Fresh : Maintain visually stunning bakery cases and ensure all products are timely, safe, and delicious. What You Bring to the Table: 5+ years of hands-on baking experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role A culinary degree or equivalent experience (bonus points for trade certifications!) Strong organizational and communication skills A knack for multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment Tech-savvy with bakery software, POS systems, and inventory tools Ability to lift 50 lbs and manage a physically active role A love for seasonal flavors and creative menu development A “smile-first” attitude and genuine passion for customer service Experience with vendor ordering and cost control Why Join Us? Pay Range: $75,000-$100,000 Annually (based on a 40hr work week) Who Are We? Woodlands Market is a leader in gourmet retailing, service and innovation in the grocery industry. We also operate a Pet Shop in San Francisco as well as an off-site kitchen in San Rafael. We engage approximately 330 individuals on staff, many of whom have come to us with an in-depth knowledge of the specialty food industry.
